State of Washington Awards Verdiem Master Contract

Verdiem Contract Simplifies Purchases for State Agencies, Cities, Counties, Schools and Qualified Non-Profits

Seattle - Sept. 13, 2006 - Verdiem, the leading developer of power management software for PC networks, today announced it has been awarded a master contract by the State of Washington's Department of Information Services (DIS). The master contract, issued as a result of a competitive solicitation run by the DIS, satisfies the state's competitive acquisition requirements and enables state organizations to simplify purchasing decisions and processes. The master contract is valid through 2009.

"Being awarded a master contract from the State of Washington continues the momentum we are building in our home state and across the country," said Kevin Klustner, chief executive officer, Verdiem, "Increasingly, companies and public sector organizations are looking for ways to cut costs and improve their communities. SURVEYOR helps them accomplish both goals quickly and easily."

Several Washington school districts are already reaping the benefits of deploying Verdiem SURVEYOR, including Issaquah School District, Lake Washington School District and Seattle School District. As a result of their SURVEYOR implementations, these organizations are expected to cut energy consumption on average by approximately 200 kWh per PC, resulting in thousands of dollars of savings, which frees budget for more directly meeting the needs of the state's students.
