Verdiem Announces Appointment of John Scumniotales As Vice President Of Engineering--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------### Seattle, WA – Friday, December 18, 2009 – Verdiem, the leader in enterprise PC power management software, today announced that John Scumniotales has joined Verdiem as Vice President of Engineering to lead the company's product development organization. Mr. Scumniotales will be focused on defining and delivering new enterprise energy management software for a broad range of IT devices. Prior to joining Verdiem, Mr. Scumniotales was Vice President of Products at Serena Software where he defined and delivered Serena’s Agile Project and Portfolio Management products to Fortune 500 customers. At Serena, he was also responsible for creating Serena’s first Software as a Service (SaaS) product. "John Scumniotales is a proven leader with a deep history and passion for leading highly talented, customer-focused development organizations," said Jeremy Jaech, Chief Executive Officer, Verdiem. Prior to Serena Software, John was Vice President of Products at Pacific Edge Software whom Serena acquired in 2006.
